Cap-Haïtien has remained in my memory from my childhood years. As a child, I recall the many stories my grandmother, Nieves Antonia, would share with me as she visited there many times to shop with my mother, Mercedes, along with my mother, Tahalis. Cap-Haïtien seemed to be their go-to when the women went on their shopping excursions.  According to my grandmother, it was a beautiful city to visit.

What amazes me is that I can still recall her conversations as if it were yesterday.  Love my grandmother dearly and truly miss her. She always had a story to tell and thought that feeding you was the way to show her love while telling her stories.
